Mikhail Education

As CIO of Mikhail Education, I'm responsible for the websites of all six of its career schools and the Las Vegas College medical clinic. Every one of them had been built on a no-code builder — fast to launch, but the code, the hosting, and the inquiries prospective students submitted all lived on someone else's platform. I moved all seven onto one shared stack the company owns.

The problem

Seven sites on a no-code builder. It got them launched, but every change went through someone else's tool, the code wasn't really the company's, and the inquiry forms — the front door of enrollment — sent student data to a platform the schools didn't control.

For a school network where an inquiry is the first step toward an enrollment, that's the wrong place to be locked in.

02

The build-vs-buy call

Keep what worked — the designs and the content — and own everything underneath. I built one migration playbook on a modern stack and ran it site by site, so the seventh move was as routine as the second.

03

What shipped

Each school site rebuilt in React and TypeScript, hosted on Cloudflare's global network, with its own backend for inquiry forms that forwards leads into the admissions CRM. Every school site generates its own sitemap and search metadata.

The clinic site, lvcmed.com, became a lightweight static build with online booking through its scheduling provider — no backend to run at all. All seven now live in version control, so every change is reviewable and reversible instead of locked inside a builder.

The result

All seven sites are live on their own domains, on infrastructure Mikhail Education owns, running on one playbook — which means a fix or improvement proven on one school can roll out to the rest.

What made it work

  • Seven sites moved off a no-code builder onto one owned stack
  • Each school's inquiry forms on its own backend, forwarding leads to the admissions CRM
  • Hosted on Cloudflare's global network, every site in version control
  • Generated sitemaps and search metadata on every school site
  • A no-backend clinic site with online booking
